Prepare to submit your app

Before you can submit a first version of your app for review you'll need to check you've completed the following:

Note

You don't have to resubmit each of these for every future submission, but please check that your agreements with Google are up to date for each submission as out of date agreements will prevent your app from being reviewed!

Building the app

Once you've checked you're ready, click 'Build' app to start the submission process. You'll see different options depending on which sections you've completed and your SupaPass tier, but for this submission select 'Android'.

Choose the build type

After selecting Android you'll see a new box with options for your release. If you're ready to submit then select 'Yes, submit this build to the Play Store', if you'd like to see a preview of your app before submitting then choose the preview option. You can learn more about preview apps in this article.

Add release notes

The 'What's New?' box allows you to add a short summary of changes to your app that go out with the release. If this is your first release then simply enter "First release". More information on adding release notes is available in our App Release Notes article.

Choose a release date

You have 2 choices for when your app is released:

  1. Release immediately after review - the app will be released as soon as it's approved. This is a good option if you're looking to launch right away or want to get an update out quickly.

  2. Release manually - the app wont be released until you release it from your SupaPass dashboard. This is a good option if you don't have a specific release date, but want to release alongside something else when ready, for example to align with your iOS release.
