Submit Your App to the Apple App Store Hassle-Free

When using SupaPass, you remove all the technical complexities of submitting your app to the Apple App Store, so you can focus on creating amazing content. You take care of the content, we take care of the tech. We understand that it's still good to know what actually happens once you submit your app, so we've made this little overview of what you can expect and where you can pro-actively find more information about the status.

What to expect with your initial submission

We'll need to run a few checks on your app to make sure everything is ready to go, for this reason your first submission will take approximately 1 - 2 working days to be sent to the App Store.

Apple reviews your app

After submitting your app, Apple will perform an initial verification check. Apple will review your app, store listing metadata and any subscription products you submit against their Review Guidelines.

  • You can track your app's status in the Status tab under your App Setup settings on your CMS Dashboard.

  • The review process can take anywhere from 24 hours to several days depending on the app's complexity and Apple's current review queue.

Apple will evaluate your app based on several criteria, including:

  • Functionality & Performance: The app must be fully functional without crashes or major bugs.

  • Content Compliance: Ensure your content meets Apple's guidelines, including appropriate age ratings.

  • Privacy & Data Collection: Apple checks that you have the required privacy disclosures and permissions.

  • App Metadata & Listing: Your app’s name, description, screenshots, and other metadata must follow Apple’s policies.

App Review Status

You can easily keep track of the status of your app submissions by visiting the "Status" section in App Setup. This section will provide you with real-time updates on all your past and current builds, so you'll always know where your app stands in the process.

TestFlight Builds

What is TestFlight?

TestFlight is a tool provided by Apple that allows you to test your app before it is officially released on the App Store. It enables you to share early versions of your app with testers, such as colleagues, friends, or customers, who can provide feedback on its functionality and user experience. This helps identify any issues before the app is publicly available, ensuring a smoother launch.

If you've been using TestFlight to test your app, you can seamlessly promote your TestFlight builds to official App Store submissions. Just click the "Submit for Review" button, and we'll take care of the rest, ensuring your app is on its way to the App Store.

If Your App Is Rejected

We're here to make your app submission process as smooth as possible and have years of experience guiding apps through the review stages. Your success on the Apple App Store is our priority, and we're here to support you every step of the way, including handling rejections on your behalf. You can read more about rejections and how we can help in our article on App Rejections.

What to Do?

  • Apple will provide a reason for the rejection in App Store Connect. The SupaPass team will receive this reason in our inbox and will let you know what to do.

  • Common rejection reasons include missing privacy policies, incorrect age ratings, or performance issues.

  • Address the issue, make necessary changes, and resubmit your app for review.

App Approval & Release

Depending on how you set your release settings your app will either be published automatically or manually. You'll receive an email from App Store Connect when your app has been approved, simply login to SupaPass and click the 'Make App Live' on the status page.

What’s Next?

  • Once your app is approved, you can publish it immediately or schedule a release date.

  • Your app will be available for download on the App Store after it goes live.

  • You can update your app anytime with new content, and it will automatically update for users.

Final Notes

  • Ensure your App Store Agreements and Privacy Policies are up to date before submitting.

  • Apple’s review process may take longer for apps targeting children or containing subscription-based services.

  • If you have any questions, refer to Apple’s official App Store Review Guidelines in App Store Connect.

By following these steps, your app will be successfully reviewed and launched on the Apple App Store!
