Updated over 8 months ago

Here you can learn how to:

  • Enable/disable comments on your content

  • View comments left by users

  • Moderate your comments

You can turn comments on/off. You can choose whether they are on for paid and secret products only, or if you also want them on for free content where your audience must be logged in to comment.

Comments appear in chronological order with replies opened by a dropdown underneath.

Comment functionality

Comments are available on your website and in the mobile apps, appearing in chronological order with replies opened by a dropdown underneath.

Users will need to verify their email address before commenting, this can be enabled by clicking the email sent to them when they register or by requesting another verification email from the user profile menu. There is a different verification process for Group License.

Setting up comments

Open the Builder in the left menu of your SupaPass Admin Dashboard, click the settings cog, open General Settings and toggle the comments on and off. That's it!

In addition to turning comments on or off, you can choose whether they are on for paid and secret products only, or if you also want them on for free content where your audience must be logged in to comment.

View and moderate comments

All comments

You can find a list of all comments in your SupaPass dashboard, they can be found in the left menu by scrolling down to Comments in the Data section.

Comments in the table display with the most recent comment at the top and include a link to the content, the comment, the user email and moderation options.

Comments Moderation

Users can report inappropriate comments to you and provide a reason up to 250 characters. You'll receive a notification to review the comment and reported comments display [Comment under moderation] until you have reviewed them.

You can take action on reported comments in the Comments Moderation section within the Comments page. This displays all comments that are currently under moderation and, like the All Comments screen, shows the most recent report with the content title, comment, user, reason for reporting, who reported it and some moderation options.

Options for moderation can be accessed by clicking the more option in the Action column, they include:

  • Restore - choose to make the comment available again.

  • Remove - remove the comment, but allow the user to continue commenting.

  • Remove and Block - remove the comment and prevent the offending user from making comments.

Once you select an option you will be asked to confirm your choice before continuing. You also have the option to remove and block comments that have not been reported from the All Comments screen.
