Engines and PowerUps: your questions answered

Understand Engines, PowerUps and plan inclusions so you can choose the next step for your website, app, content and audience.

Want to give your audience more reasons to explore your content, join in and come back? SupaPass Engines and PowerUps help you build that experience around your next goal. These answers will help you decide what is useful now and what your account may already include.

What is an Engine, and what is a PowerUp?

An Engine brings together capabilities for a particular goal, such as launching an app, organizing your media or building a community. A PowerUp adds a specific feature or allowance.

If you want a richer media library with scheduled releases and content emails, compare the Media Hosting Engine. If you only need scheduled publishing, that individual PowerUp may be enough, depending on what your account already includes.

Do I need all six Engines?

You always start with the Starter Plan. The first two weeks after you sign up you get an All Access Bonus so you can see what all these exciting features can do.

Start with the experience you want to create for your audience, then check what your account already includes.

  • Website Hosting: give visitors a live website with clear pages for your brand and offers. The Website Hosting Engine is needed to publish you website and get it live.

  • Media Hosting: make a growing library easier to browse and release.

  • Mobile App: give returning members a branded native iOS and Android destination.

  • Community: create space for conversations around your content and shared interests.

  • Data: work with audience information, reports and connected workflows.

  • Earnings: move to 0% SupaPass revenue share on Stripe sales.

A useful first question is: what would make it easier for someone to discover, enjoy or return to my work? Choose around that next step.

Should I choose an Engine or individual PowerUps?

Choose an individual PowerUp when one capability solves your immediate need. Compare an Engine when you need several of its included tools together.

A CSV export may be enough for an occasional audience download. If you also want custom audience fields, activity exports and integrations, the Data Engine gives you a broader set to work with. Compare the features and current purchase options before deciding; an Engine is not automatically the best choice for every account.

Does my All Access Growth or Ultimate plan already cover this?

These plans include many capabilities across website, media, mobile apps, Community and Earnings. Check the specific feature and allowance rather than assuming every standalone Engine is included in full.

Open Usage and Plans to check your account before adding anything.

Is my own domain included with Website Hosting?

The standalone Website Hosting Engine includes managed live website hosting, up to 10 custom pages, customizable menus and footers, and supported tracking integrations.

Branded Domain and Custom Pages Expansion are optional PowerUps. Branded Domain lets you connect a domain or subdomain you own; it does not register a domain for you. You can also use a SupaPass subdomain.

All Access Growth and Ultimate include Branded Domain and a 100-page allowance. Your own web address can give every campaign and shared link a consistent home under your brand.

What comes with the Media Hosting Engine?

The standalone Media Hosting Engine 1TB includes 1TB of media storage, audio/video/article hosting and these PowerUps:

  • Streaming Content Sections: a 100-section allowance for organizing your library.

  • Scheduled Content Publishing: prepare when content becomes available.

  • Email Notifications to Your Audience: configure new-content emails.

It also includes supported RSS and YouTube imports and syncing, downloadable attachments and a PDF/EPUB reader. You could organize recordings into a series, attach resources and prepare the next release in advance.

Scheduled publishing controls release timing; it does not track course completion.

What comes with the Mobile App Engine? Will my app be live straight away?

The Mobile App Engine includes Professional App Hosting, Push Notifications, In-App Purchases and App Store Designer, plus app setup, app links and 10 custom app screens. Custom Screens Expansion is separate.

Your branded app can give regular listeners, learners or members a familiar place to return to. Launch still requires the Apple and Google developer accounts, connections, app details, graphics and store approvals. Buying the Engine does not make an app immediately live or guarantee approval.

Push notifications require Firebase setup and member permission. In-app pricing follows an initial submitted build. Apple TV is a separate platform expansion; website hosting and media capacity depend on the rest of your setup.

What comes with the Community Engine?

The Community Engine includes Live Chat & Community Spaces, Member Engagement, Registered Users Expansion and Email Notifications to Your Audience.

Use Topics, discussions on content, reactions, @mentions, profiles and moderation to bring people into the conversation. Community notifications help members follow relevant activity; content email notifications are a separate way to announce releases.

Invite listeners to discuss the question raised in an episode, or give members a Topic for sharing ideas around a lesson. Those conversations can make your content a shared experience. Start with a clear purpose and time to welcome and moderate contributions.

Are Community Credits the same as registered users?

No. Registered users are audience accounts. Community Credits are a separate usage allowance for the Community experience.

The Community Engine includes 10,000 Community Credits each month in total. The credits included with Live Chat & Community Spaces are not counted again on top of the Engine allowance.

Extra monthly credit packages and one-off PAYG top-ups are available. Check your usage before choosing extra capacity: a credit top-up does not add Community features or increase your registered-user allowance.

Do I need Data Engine as well as Community?

Only if you need its additional data tools. Community gives members ways to participate. Data helps you work with audience information and reporting outside individual conversations.

The Data Engine includes six PowerUps: Audience Email Access & Exports, Custom Audience Data, Custom Webhooks, Zapier Integration, Export Sales Data and Export Content & Activity Data.

A membership host might use Community for discussion and Data to connect a supported subscription event to a CRM workflow. Integrations require configuration and a receiving service; a separate service subscription may be needed.

Do I need Earnings Engine before I can sell?

No. Starter plan already supports creating products, connecting Stripe and viewing the sales table, with a 10% SupaPass revenue share on Stripe sales.

The Earnings Engine changes that to 0% SupaPass revenue share on Stripe sales. All Access Growth and Ultimate also include 0% SupaPass revenue share, so check your plan first.

If you are testing a first offer, your existing tools may be enough. As regular sales develop, revisit whether your current revenue share or an upgrade better fits your business.

Does 0% revenue share mean there are no fees?

No. It means SupaPass takes no revenue share on Stripe sales covered by that entitlement. Stripe processing fees can still apply. Native in-app purchases are a separate capability, and Apple or Google fees may apply.

Will an upgrade automatically set everything up for me?

Features still need to be configured for your audience. That might mean building pages, organizing lists, writing a Community welcome prompt, connecting Stripe or setting up a supported integration.

Give each tool a job: a content email that explains why a release is worth opening, a Topic with a question worth answering, or a report that helps you plan your next recording. That is where the capability becomes useful.

How do I check my options and choose my next step?

Open Usage and Plans in your SupaPass dashboard. Check your current features and allowances, then compare the available Engines, PowerUps and plans against your next goal. Review the price, inclusions and billing terms shown before purchasing.

If you are unsure, contact SupaPass with what you want your audience to do and what you already have. A focused goal makes it easier to identify a useful upgrade.

You may already have recordings people would enjoy, a membership worth exploring or a conversation waiting to happen. Choose the capability that helps your audience take that next step.
