How to Add Payment Methods to Your Stripe Checkout

Enable and manage payment methods in Stripe for your SupaPass checkout. Learn which payment options are enabled by default and how currency and customer location affect what users see at checkout.

You can enable additional payment methods directly inside your Stripe dashboard. Once enabled, they automatically appear in your SupaPass checkout on your Website.

These Payment Methods Are Already Enabled

The following payment methods are already switched on by default for you by SupaPass:

  • Cards

  • Apple Pay

  • Google Pay

  • Link

  • Cash App Pay (USA)

  • Bancontact (Belgium)

  • iDEAL (Wero) (Netherlands)

Direct Debit:

  • ACH Direct Debit (USA)

  • SEPA Direct Debit (Europe)

  • BACS Direct Debit (UK)

Good to Know💡You do not need to manually enable these.

You can disable them if you want to.

How to Enable Additional Payment Methods

If you want to add other payments, like Klarna, Amazon Pay or other digital wallets you can follow the steps below to configure this for your checkout.

Step 1: Go to Payment Method Settings in Stripe

  1. Log in to your Stripe Dashboard

  2. Click Settings icon (top right)

  3. Go to Payments

  4. Click the Payment methods tab

Step 2: Select the Correct Payment Configuration

If you see multiple configurations:

  • Choose the row where:

    • Account = SupaPass account

    • Payment configuration = Default

(The row with 'Payment configuration = Billing Payments' is for your invoices, not your Checkout).

Step 3: Enable a Payment Method

  1. Find the payment method you want (e.g. Klarna, Amazon Pay)

  2. Click Enable

  3. Confirm if prompted

That’s it. No additional setup is required inside SupaPass.

⚠️Good to Know Do not enable Bank Transfers. This method is not supported in SupaPass checkout.

Step 4: Confirm It’s Working

  1. Open your SupaPass checkout page

  2. Start a new checkout session (refresh the page if needed)

  3. Click Buy Now

  4. Confirm the new payment options appear

Not every enabled payment method will appear for every user. Payment methods will only show if they match the checkout currency and support by Stripe for their region.

If a payment method does not appear after enabling it, contact support and we’ll help you verify your Stripe configuration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to change anything inside SupaPass to add payment methods?

No extra configuration is needed in SupaPass. Once your Stripe account has a payment method enabled and it’s eligible for the customer, it will appear automatically in the new checkout, if the currency and region match.

Can I enable every method Stripe offers?

You may enable the methods that you want to offer your customers.

Stripe may require you to do additional verification for some of them.

Also note that Bank transfer is not supported in the SupaPass checkout (Direct Debit is supported).
