SupaPass Account Deletion

Since June 30th 2023 we have offered End Users the ability to request removal of their data through the mobile apps and the profile section of your website. This is to meet existing GDPR rules, new requirements from the app stores, and to offer your users more choice about how their data is handled.

Your responsibilities

Accept the latest App Store terms

All apps submitted to the Apple App Store must include the ability to initiate account deletion from within the app. Please login to App Store Connect and accept the latest terms to allow us to submit new apps and updates.

If your Android app has not been updated since before January 2024 you should connect your Google Developer account to the new App Setup so that we can update your app to the latest version before May 31st 2024.

Right To Be Forgotten

Many jurisdictions now enshrine in law a "Right To Be Forgotten" that allows users to request the removal of personal data from company records. As the data controller you have a responsibility to handle data appropriately and in compliance with GDPR, full information about your responsibilities can be found in the SupaPass Client Terms.

SupaPass websites and apps comply with EU GDPR legislation to facilitate the removal of end user data, with the account deletion feature allowing users to request data removal from within the apps. Where an account cannot be removed automatically, we will facilitate the removal of data from our system and contact you to remove the information from your records.

Delete User Zaps

Where user data is shared outside SupaPass you should take care to maintain the functionality of essential Zaps, such as the Delete User zap. Once created, Delete User zaps should remain turned on so that data can be removed automatically. If you need more zaps, consider upgrading your Zapier account instead of turning off zaps.
