Updates to RSS feeds
How often do RSS feeds update?
We sync podcasts every hour, so your latest episode should be available within an hour of release.
Why hasn't my RSS feed updated yet?
Your RSS feed may take a little longer depending on your RSS host and how quickly it syndicates the episodes to other platforms.
Errors
My RSS feed shows an error message, what should I do?
Send us an email reporting the issue, please include the error reference and the name of the RSS feed.
My episodes haven't synced for more than a day, should I press sync?
If your episodes have not synced within a few hours then there may be an issue with your RSS host. When we don't receive a response after requesting several syncs we reduce the requests to once per day. If your feed has not displayed new episodes after more than a day, please press 'Sync' once and wait 15 mins to see if the new episodes appear, if this does not work please contact support.
There are duplicate episodes in my feed, how do I fix this?
Duplicate episodes cannot be fixed within the SupaPass dashboard. This is an issue when your content is published to SupaPass via RSS. It usually occurs when the title of an episode is changed with your content host, resulting in duplicate episodes appearing in SupaPass. The RSS feed uses the <title>
tag as a unique identifier. So changes to the title results in the feed thinking it is a new episode, hence duplicating it on the SupaPass website.
For future reference we strongly recommend to not change the episode title after you have published your content and when you import your content via RSS feed.
We're working on solutions to improve this. If this issue has already occurred, please let us know the section and list the episode is and the correct title you want to keep and we can remove the duplicate episode.
