There are 3 types of collections available in your app - Audio, Video and Articles.

To create a collection, select the desired content type from the left content menu. From the collection page click the ‘Create Collection’ button.

Creating the collection

Add a title

First you need to give your collection a title, you can also give a subtitle and an original release date.

Add a cover image

Next you can add a cover image. This is optional, but we do recommend using a cover image to help your collections stand out. You can either upload an image from the media library or your device. A basic cropping tool is available when choosing a cover image, but we would recommend using a landscape image with ideal dimensions 1920x1080. For Audio collections you should select a square image.

Description and Performers

Other optional fields include the collection description and performers, if you wish to show contributors towards the collection such as collaborators on a music playlist or author contributions to a selection of articles.

Publishing date

Next you need to add a publishing date. The publishing date is the date the collection will become available to users, you must also toggle ‘Ready to publish’ for the collection to appear on your website and apps. You can come back and edit this section later if you are not ready to add a publishing date or publish the collection.

Uncategorised Sort Order

This can be used to control the order that collections of the same type appear in. For example if you want one collection to always be the first that your users see, then you can mark it as 1. If left blank the collections will display by most recently created.

Uncategorised sort order only works when there are no categories. Categories are useful for curating large numbers of collections, check out the article about categories to decide which is the best curation method for you.

Editing a collection

Edit a collection at any time by selecting it from the relevant collections page. Click edit to change any of the collection fields.
